3DGS Scanning
Your Site, Photoreal, In a Browser.
We scan your site or asset with SLAM LiDAR + camera array and deliver a photorealistic 3D record anyone can walk through from a link — processed onshore in Queensland.
One Walk. A Shareable 3D Site.
From site access to a browser link — usually within the week.
Site walk-through
One AECT operator walks your site with SLAM LiDAR + camera array — typically minutes, not days. Live sites stay live: no closures, no disruption.
Onshore processing
Capture is processed in Queensland into a photorealistic 3D Gaussian Splat — and, when needed, a georeferenced engineering point cloud from the same walk.
Browser link delivered
You receive a private link. Anyone you share it with can walk the site in 3D from a laptop, tablet or phone — no installs, no viewer licences.
Use it everywhere
Progress records, remote inspections, stakeholder reviews, marketing, insurance evidence — or export onward to Revit, Unreal, Unity and ArcGIS.
This Is the Deliverable
A real AECT 3DGS scan, streamed to your browser. What you see here is exactly what your stakeholders receive.
What Teams Use 3DGS Scans For
Construction progress records
Scan weekly or at milestones — a photorealistic, time-stamped record of exactly what was built, verifiable by anyone, from anywhere.
Remote inspection & QA
QA, HSE, as-built and survey teams verify the same dataset remotely — fewer site visits, faster sign-off.
Real estate & presales
Photoreal walk-throughs of display suites, amenity and views — shareable as a link in any listing or campaign.
Heritage & insurance records
A permanent, measurable 3D record of heritage fabric or insured assets — captured before it changes, ready if you ever need to prove what was there.

3DGS Scanning, Answered
Who provides 3D Gaussian Splatting services in Australia?
AECT Solutions is Australia's 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) specialist and the Official XGRIDS National Distributor for Australia. AECT operates the full 3DGS pipeline — XGRIDS K2 and PortalCam capture hardware, LCC (Lixel CyberColor) reconstruction software — for construction, real estate, heritage, mining, infrastructure and XR clients Australia-wide, with all processing onshore in Queensland.
What is 3DGS scanning?
3DGS (3D Gaussian Splatting) scanning captures a real place and reconstructs it as a photorealistic, explorable 3D scene that runs in a normal web browser. Unlike a video or 360° photo tour, a 3DGS scene is true 3D — you can move freely through it — and unlike a raw point cloud, it looks like reality.
How long does a 3DGS scan take on site?
Most single buildings, units or site areas are captured in a single walk of roughly 10–60 minutes. Larger sites are captured in sections or with drone-assisted aerial-ground fusion. Live sites do not need to close — AECT has captured a live highway corridor from the pedestrian path in about 10 minutes.
What do I receive after the scan?
A private browser link to your photorealistic 3D scene (hosted on LCC Cloud), viewable on any device without installing software. Depending on scope, the same capture can also be delivered as a georeferenced point cloud (LAS/E57), mesh (OBJ/FBX), or Revit-ready data.
Where is my scan data processed and stored?
All processing is onshore in Queensland, Australia — full data sovereignty. Air-gapped delivery is available for government, defence and law-enforcement projects.
How much does a 3DGS scan cost in Australia?
Scans are quoted per engagement based on site size, access and deliverables. Single-visit captures of a building or site area are typically far cheaper than traditional survey — contact AECT with your site details for a same-week quote.
Can 3DGS scanning replace a traditional survey?
They answer different questions. 3DGS gives you a photorealistic, shareable record; when you also need survey-grade measurements, AECT captures both from the same walk — an engineering-grade point cloud and the 3DGS scene — so verification and communication come from one dataset.
