Common questions
My activation code says "invalid" — what happened?
Each activation code can be used only once. If it reads invalid, it has most likely already been activated. Don't re-enter it repeatedly — contact AECT and we'll verify the licence against your serial number.
Do I activate in the LixelGO app or in Lixel Studio?
Both. You activate the device in the LixelGO app (which requests your licence), then activate the Lixel Studio software separately under Settings → Activation using the code you receive.
Do I need RTK for every scan?
No. RTK/GCP is only needed when you require survey-grade georeferencing. For visualisation or relative measurement, scan in standard mode — see Stage 5 to add RTK when you need absolute accuracy.
How should I look after the battery?
Recharge after each day of use, top up idle batteries every 3 months, and recharge a depleted battery within 3 days. Over-discharge damage is not covered by warranty (see Stage 7).
What output formats can I export?
Lixel Studio exports point clouds as .LAS and meshes as .obj or .osgb, plus trajectory data. Clean with the Clipping Box tool before exporting.
